Utility

A 36-slot chest — one row more than vanilla, with a 3D model, animated lid and its own sound. Needs no energy.

A 45-slot chest — the tier above iron (one more row), with a 3D model and animated lid. Needs no energy.

A 54-slot chest — the tier above silver (one more row), with a 3D model and animated lid. Needs no energy.

An 81-slot chest — the tier above gold. Nine rows behind a six-row window with a scrollbar. Needs no energy.

A 27-slot storage block: modules placed against each other work as one warehouse of up to 108 slots behind one window.

A frame you hang on a chest — it shows the item count inside, right on the frame. No energy needed; the number is only visible with a filter item placed in the frame.

A decorative torch with a green flame and light level 14 — it even burns underwater. Needs no energy.

The Industrialist villager's job-site block — a buyer of the mod's resources for emeralds. Place it near an unemployed villager and he takes the profession.

An in-game tutorial book covering every mechanic of the mod — auto-given on a player's first join, opened with a right-click; tabs, pages, links. No energy.

A profile screen with career mod statistics and a mastery progression (40 levels, 8 ranks) that levels up from machine work and, far more slowly, from generator output.

When 'Bonus Chest' world option is on, Ala Industrial starter items are injected into the bonus chest on top of the vanilla loot.

A 108-slot chest — the top storage tier. Twelve rows behind a six-row scrolling window, and it shrugs off explosions. Needs no energy.

The top guard-field tier — a 24-block radius at 64 EU/FE/t; grown from the medium one with a Soul Vessel.

The wall block a cable enters a shift worker's house through. It takes EU/FE only on its outer face and holds a reserve for the house's charging bed; the anchor of a house in the town, and where a new house is laid from.

The landing pad of a builder drone over the town hall; a drone item goes into it and the drone takes one building from the town's order queue, clears its rubble, lays its road, fills its foundation and rebuilds it block by block to its intact look, and with nothing to do engraves the houses' plaques; charged by the settlement core only, the core's tier sets how many nests work.

The construction desk of a work town, standing in its town hall: it puts the restoration plan together from three sheets, keeps the queue of building orders, holds the material buffer the builder drones take their blocks from, and shows whether the drones are working; one per town.

A tiny 4×4-pixel light with warm light level 15 — place it on the floor, the ceiling or any wall. No menu, no energy.

Brings a settlement's shift workers back one at a time for EU/FE and materials, only while the settlement core is lit, the town has a restorer, its worker limit is not reached and a free house fit to live in waits for the new worker; every new worker gets a number of their own, unique in the world.

A glass fitting on a tank or the end of a pipe. Lets fluid out into the world and gives liquid experience back as orbs. Right-click opens and closes it, redstone opens it too.

A two-cell bed in a shift worker's house, like a vanilla bed: a worker with a low battery lies down on it and charges; it holds no energy of its own and draws from its house's inlet.

Abandoned mineshaft, monster-spawner dungeon and village toolsmith chests can hold early Ala Industrial items on top of the vanilla loot.

A guard EU/FE-field — while powered, hostile mobs flee an 8-block radius and cannot approach. Grows into the medium and large tiers via the Soul Vessel.

A block of tempered iron frame, grille and padding that muffles block and ambient sounds around it; absorbers touching by a face form a group, and the bigger the group, the wider and stronger the quiet zone.

A computer assembled from two casings stacked one on the other. Draws from the grid and serves as the player's own workstation.

The second guard-field tier — a 16-block radius at 32 EU/FE/t; grown from the small one with a Soul Vessel.

A modular wall of panels showing how much of each item is in the chests wired to it. The core powers and permits, the smart wire reads containers, and each panel displays one kind of item.

A bench that fits permanent upgrades onto powered tools. Assembled from two casings stacked one on the other.

The second tier of the Industrial Workbench — a 3×3 grid that remembers the last craft, keeps its items when the window closes, takes ingredients from pipes and hoppers by the remembered recipe and crafts by itself into a pipe below.

An electric chamber that weakly draws in hostile mobs, shocks them for EU/FE, gathers the loot into a nine-slot buffer and turns their experience into liquid experience; pipes take it all out.

The heart of a work town, standing in its town hall: while the grid feeds it EU/FE it holds the settlement's territory, sets how many houses and shift workers the town may have and remembers its restorer; without power it goes dark and the town sleeps.
